DUEL IN PARIS.

ONE MAN SHOT IN HIP. (United Press Association —Copyright.) PARIS, Jan. 8. A real duel was fought in the Parc des Princes, between two former schoolfellows, now members of the fashionable circle, says the “Soil-.” ! It gives their names as Jacques Dourdin and Fred Angel, both aged about 25. *The newspaper says the quarrel arose from an alleged slander. It was arranged that there should be two exchanges of shots, but one was sufficient. Dourdin fell Avitli a bullet in the hip, and was rushed to a nursing home, where an operation was performed. A priest stood at the park gates in case absolution was needed. There was also a well-dressed young woman, who, when questioned, replied that it was a question of honour. There was no woman involved.
