THE ACCIDENT ON THE ULYSSES. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, January 7. After repeated attempts throughout the night to draw alongside the liner Ulysses in heavy seas, tugs finally succeeded in taking off at dawn three who were killed or injured by a heavy sea. Three stretcher cases and one able to walk were brought ashore. They confirmed that the accident occurred when waves swept over the ship as the deck hands were battening down the hatches. The Ulysses proceeded on her voyage to Brisbane.
