TWO MEN KILLED
EXPLOSION OF PETROL TANK. ACCIDENT WHILE WELDING. THIRD MAN CRITICALLY HURT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. William Condron, aged 29, and Alexander Anderson, aged 16, were killed and another man critically injured in a terrific explosion in a petrol storage tank at the Alba Petroleum Company’s works at Newport. The men were doing welding work in the tank when the explosion occurred.
