MANCHESTER’S INTENTION. REMAINING FOR A FEW WEEKS. (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 1. It is officially announced from Porthcawl that Manchester will remain in England six or eight- weeks after the team’s departure, if the New Zealand Union approves. Manchester is anxious to gain English business experience. He has already been invited to play for a number of clubs and will probably appear for Harlequins.
