NEW YEAR’S EVE.
OBSERVANCE AT ST. PAUL’9. „ A WATCH-NIGHT SERVICE. (United Press Association-Copyright.) (Received This D'ay, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, December 27. The annual celebrations at New Year associated with St. Paul’s churchyard will this year take a more organised form as the result of a movement initiated by the Dean of St. Paul’s (the Very Rev. Dr. W. R. Matthews). Preceding the watch-night service in the cathedral,which will be conducted by the dean and broadcast through loud speakers in the churchyard those assembled there will take part in community singing and will lie addressed shortly by Canon H. P. L. Shepherd.
