ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. THROWING OF MAR LING-SPIKE. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, This Day. Alexander AlcAlpine, a bushman, aged 43, was committed at the Ohakune Court yesterday to the Wanganui Supreme Court for trial on a charge, of attempted murder of John Stephen Walsh, farm manager, at Ohakuno on December 5. According to the evidence of Walsh, following a discussion with accused regarding a deal sheep, accused stepped before him as ho was leading the shearing shed and threw a marlin-spike, which went through his, clothing and made a perforation in his chest. Walsh was in hospital until December 19.
