WOMEN’S DIVISION

I THE ASHBURTON BRANCH. The Ashburton branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union met yesterday afternoon. The president (Mrs E. M. Begg) presided. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs A. Horsey in the death of her mother. Two new members were elected. An invitation was received to the birthday party of the Mitcham-Rokeby branch. Competitions resulted as follow: Bloom, Mrs A. W. Penney 1, Miss C. Macmillan 2, Mrs Macmillan 3. Vegetable, Mrs Tait 1, Miss Macmillan 2, Mrs Penney 3.
