TICKETS WORTH £122. THROWN AWAY IN MISTAEEi. Thinking that some tickets in his pocket were for unplaced horses in the last race Mr J. H. Morish, chairman of the Amateur Turf Club (Adelaide) threw them away before leaving Victoria Park racecourse on August 24. The tickets were worth £122 15s 3d. Mr Morish owns Lemonia, whom he leased to the trainer, O. H. Wood. He took out 12 tickets on the mare in the first leg of the totalisator double. She rvon. One of the horses in the second leg was scratched and Mr Morish decided to exchange his tickets for each runner in the second leg and to place the remaining ticket on Sister Florence. Sister Florence won and Trifett was second. The Lemonia-Sister Florence double returned a dividend of £43 13s; that represented £B7 6s tor Mr Morish’s two tickets.
