REDUCTION OPPOSED
FREEZING COMPANIES AND EXCHANGE. ('Special to the “Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the annual meeting of the South Island Freezing Companies’ Association, held yesterday, the possibility of reduction in the exchange rate on London was discussed. The opinion was unanimously expressed that a reduction in the present rate would he disastrous to the farming community, while other exporting countries continue on then- present basis of exchange.
