AUSTRALIA’S DEFENCE
INCREASE IN ESTIMATES.
STRENGTHENING OF ALL ARMS.

The estimates for the Department of Defence for the ■ present year provide for the strengthening and expansion of every arm of the Australian defence. It is proposed to spend £9,352,399 this year on defence, compared with £5,267,506 in 1934-35.
