SENTENCES AT NAPIER.

NAPIER, November 4

Robert Dixon, for false pretences, was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention by Mr Justice Smith, who also declared him an habitual criminal.

For bigamy, Charles Leonard Hankins was sent to gaol for one year with hard labour. His Honor pointed out that as a result of the illegal union, five children were now wards of the State.

William James Dunn, for indecent assault, was sentenced to nine months hard labour.

Francis Cedric Robert Harrigan was sentenced to six mouths’ hard laboui for theft from a dwelling.
