'th SPECIAL Excursion Tickets to Ashburton will be issued from Christchurch, Timaru, Methven and intermediate stations on direct route by tiains arriving Ashburton up to 10.10 a.m. on 7th November, available for return until Bth November, 1935. TRAIN ALTERATIONS, 7tli NOVEMBER GHIRISTCHURCH-ASHBURTON. — Usual 3.50 p.m. train for Christchurch will leave Ashburton 4.44 p.m., Show Grounds 4.56 p.m., and arrive Christchurch 7.15 p.m. ' Connects at Rakaia with Methven Branch Train. Special Goods Train (car attached), will leave Ashburton 7.50 p.m. for Christchurch. It will not connect with Rakaia-Methven Train. The 7.10 a.m. Christchurch-Ashbur-ton and 11.10 a.m. Ashburton-Christ-church Trains will stop at Saleyards Siding to set down passengers for Show Grounds ASHBURTON - TIMARU. Usual 4.31 p.m. train for Timaru will leave Ashburton 5.25 p.m., and arrive Timaru 7.51 p.m. For further particulars see poster. A. AND P. SHOW AND RACES AT CHRISTCHURCH, 9th to 16th'NOVEMBER. SPECIAL EXCURSION FARES TO CHRISTCHURCH. SPECIAL Excursion Tickets will be issued to Christchurch from Waiau-S'pringfield-Timaru, and intermediate stations ; also, from stations on Cheviot, Southbridge, Little River, and Methven Branches, from Friday, Bth November, to Friday, 15th November, inclusive; also by trains arriving Christchurch up to 11.15- a.md on Saturday, 16th November, available for return until Monday, 18th November, 1935. Cheap Tickets at popular mid-week fares will be issued to Christchurch _on Wednesday, 13th, and Friday, loth November, available for day of issue only. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. On 9th, Uth, 13th, 15th and 16th November usual 5.5 p.m. train for Ashburton will leave Christchurch 5.50 p.m. On 9th, Uth, 13th and I6tli November leaves Sockburn 6.4 p.m. On 14th and 15th stops at Addington Show Grounds to pick up passengers. On 12th and 14th November, tram for Ashburton will leave Christchurch at - usual time (5.5 p.m.) On 15th November, 8.15 a.m. train takes passengers from stations Ashburton to Chertsey inclusive, and after leaving Chertsey stops only to set down passengers. On 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th November, fast passenger train for Christchurch leaves Timaru 7.50 a.m., Ashburton 9.42 a.m. Takes passengers for Racecourse and Christchurch on 9th, 13th and 16th; Addington and Christchurch on 12th; Show Grounds, Addington and Christchurch on 14th and 15th. On 9th, 12th, 13th. 14th, 15th and 16th November, special train leaves Christchurch for Timaru at 6.30 p.m. Takes passengers for stations Ashburton to Timaru inclusive. On 9th, 13th and 16th stops at Sockburn (6.44 p.m.), and on 14th and 15th stops at Addington Show Grounds to pick xip passengers. On loth November special train for Timaru leaves Christchurch 11.0 p.m. Takes passengers for Rakaia, Ashburton, Orari, Temuka, and Timaru only. On 9th, 12th, 14th, 15th, and 16th November, the 7.35 a.m. Timaru-Ash-burton and 4.31 p.m. Ashburton-Tim-aru trains will NOT run. For further particulars see handbill or inquire at stations.
