The Australian Producers’ Shipping Agency has announced that it is intended to undercut the Conference rates for the shipment of wool overseas. The Norwegian motor-ship Brattdal will load wool for the United Kingdom and Continental ports at 25 per cent, lower rates than the prevailing freight charge. If the venture is a success, other vessels will enter the wool trade at the lower rate.
