Mr C. J. Melrose and Mr H. F. Broadbent propose to leave Croydon to-morrow, flying separate ’planes, for service in Australia.

PROGRESS OF AUSTRALIANS. BASRA, October 28. Messrs 0. Thomas and E. Maguire, the Australian airmen, have arrived here en route to England. Messrs Thomas and Maguire took off from Darwin on October 11 for Koepang, on the first stage of a flight to England. Mr Thomas is to undergo flying-boat training in England, and Mr Maguire intends to apply for a commission in the Royal Air Force.
