FINED FOR ASSAULT

OFFENCE AGAINST A CHILD. *> (Special to the “ Guardian.”) AUCKLAND, October 23. Archibald Roy Leslie was fined £5 at Whangarei for assault. The accused was travelling in a carriage in which there was a High School girl, who was nursing a small child. He kissed the child and asked to have the infant to hold.- The girl refused, whereupon the accused kissed her.
