ARMISTICE DAY
HONOURING THE EMPIRE’S DEAD
USUAL CELEBRATIONS IN
LONDON

The King has decided that the celebrations of Armistice Day on November 11 shall follow the lines adopted for previous celebrations. Representative detachments of the Royal Navy, the Army, Royal Air Force, the merchant navy and fishing fleets and exservicemen’s associations will march to the .Cenotaph in the morning shortly before 11 a.m. Wreaths will be deposited on the Cenotaph by or on behalf of the King and; other members of the Royal Family, and also by representatives of His Majesty’s Governments in the United Kingdom and the Dominions, India, the Colonies and protectorates and the Navy, Army, Air Force, merchant navy and fishing fleets. At 11 a.m. two minutes silence will be observed. A short service will follow, to bo conducted by the Bishop of London. The service will be broadcast. Details of the arrangements in the United Kingdom will be forwarded to all parts of the Empire and it is hoped that there, will bo such general cooperation in the observance of Armistice -Day as has been the case in previous years. . It is learned; that the Prince ol Wales will be the King’s representative at the Armistice Day celebrations in Edinburgh.
