THE COUNTRY CLUBS.

FIXTURES FOR. THE SEASON. The annual meeting of the gountry tennis clubs of Mid-Canterbury wa9 held in the Rokeby School on Monday evening, with Mr R. B. Knight presiding. The chairman reported that the last season’s competitions were very successful. The election of officei's resulted:— Chairman, Mr R. R. Knight; secretary, Mr W. Newburn; treasurer, Mr W. D. Jamieson; committee, Messrs Bland (Highbank), Wright (Winchmore), F. Ironside (Pendarves), O. Hampton (Lauriston), T. Lilley (Lyndhurst), D. Harrison (Dorie). It was decided to open the competitions on October 19. The draw is as follows:
