LONDON WOOL SALES.

COARSE CROSSBREDS IN DEMAND

LONDON, October 5. Brokers’ reviews of the recent wool sales agree that prices were below general expectations, but trade maintains a steady improvement, particularly in merinos and coarse crossbi’eds. There was considerably more resistance to lower prices, and if commerce is given even a continuance of the present restricted scope the current overseas clips will be steadily .absorbed with more gains than losses on existing levels.
