HEALTH CAMPS
CAMPAIGN IN ASHBURTON. COLLECTION AMOUNTS TO £lB 14s.
The Ashburton (Health Camp Campaign Executive Committee met yesterday, the deputy-chairman (Mr E. C. Bathurst) presiding. The resignation of Miss M. Roberts (representative of the Ashburton branch of the Sunlight League of New Zealand) was received.
Mrs H. J. Constable was elected to the executive.
It was reported by the secretary (Mrs W. J. Minogue) that the street collection made yesterday had returned £lB 13s B*d. The postmaster (Mr W. J. Minogue)
said that by a special - effort made at the Post Office that afternoon health stamps to the value of £2 8s had been sold.
Messrs Bathurst and S. W. Gower, Mesdames Minogue, and F. Curtis were appointed to arrange for a canvass of business men, asking thorn to use health stamps. It rvas decided to arrange for the sale of health stamps on the street. It Avas also agreed to inquire if the committee could obtain the assistance of postmen in the house-to-house sale of health stamps.
