ENTERTAINMENTS

ST. JAMES THEATRE. A series of personal triumphs—culminating in “Stand Up and Cheer 1” lias wo-n stardom for Warner Baxter in “Such Women are Dangerous,” the crisp Jjew comedy-drama showing at the St. James Theatre to-night finally. This romantic story is ideal for Baxter’s first starring vehicle. It is intriguiiigly mysterious. Although it plunges into very serious drama in most of its high points, it is buoyed throughout by a lighter thread of comedy. There is a wealth of clever dialogue and situations —all reflecting the changing human moods of a man entangled in conflicting love affairs. Baxter is a handsome bachelor-novelist, idolized by women readers who revel in his love stories. Three women are more directly involved in his life, and thus the plot develops.
