GERALDINE RAGING CLUB. SUCCESS FOR BON TRAY. (Special to the “Guardian”). ORARI, September 28. The spring meeting of the Geraldine Racing Club was concluded on the Orari Racecourse on Saturday in fine weather, and there was a much larger attendance of racegoers than on the first day. The track was in fast order and the racing was interesting throughout. The sum of £9317 was handled by the totalisator, as against £8194 on the second day of last year’s meeting. The total for the two days was £16,585, compared with £15,315 10s a yeat ago, an increase of £1269 10s. Results:

Gladstone Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs—2 Grey Honour, 7.13 (Goldfinch) 1, 6 Invoice 2, 5 Rose of Tralee 3. Won by half a length, three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.14 1-5. Winchester Trot, in harness, of 105 sovs, 3.5 class; one mile and a quarter —1 Golden Mist, scr (Watts) 1, 4 Tapdancers) 2, 6 Dual 3. Won by half a length each way. Time, 2.51 3-5. Stewards’ Stakes, of 105 sovs; six furlongs—l' Bon Tray, 7.9 (Pinn) 1, 2 Cranford 2, 4 Silver Streak 3. Won by a head each way. Time, 1.13 3-5. ■South Canterbury Champion Hack Handicap, of 105 soys; one mile and 100 yards—4 Gold Cross, 8.7 (Cooper) 1, 12 Worship 2, 3 Rose Val 3. Won by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 1.47 3-5.

BODYLINE WINS WAITAWA. WAITAWA, September 28. The weather was glorious, the attendance large, and the course in fine order for the spring meeting of the Otaki Maori Racing Club to-day. The totalisator handled £7227, against £4605 and £6620 on the first and second days respectively of last year’s meeting. NEW ZEALAND HORSES AMISS. SCRATCHMERE SCAR AND SPORTING BLOOD. SYDNEY, September 29. The New Zealand horses Sporting Blood and Scratchmere Scar are amiss and may take no part in the spring carnival. former is in the hands of a veterinary surgeon, and the latter has been lame since galloping on the tracks on Saturday.

MOONEE VALLEY MEETING.

APPRENTICE SUSPENDED. MELBOURNE, September 28. At the Moonee Valley races to-day the Merri Trial Handicap (second division), of 8£ furlongs, was won by Link Divine, 7.11 (K, Voitre), with Manorlea 8.11 second, and Altanna 9.5 third. There were 14 starters, including East Cape. Won by half a head, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.404, a course record. Kilsoa was unplaced in the first division of this event. Til© Tullamarine handicap, of 400 sovs one mile and 34 furlongs, resulted iA a win for Mr W. R. Kemball’s North Cape, with Nortkwind second and Yarramba third. There were 12 starters, including Tauramai, Kore.ro, Melisande and Buns by Gaze. The following was the result of the Quality Handicap, of 750 soys; six furlongs—« Valiant Chief 7.12. (£>kiumore) 1, Garrio 2, Double Bard 3. There were 10 starters, and Valiant Chief won by half a head 1 in 1.12£. Shatter was unplaced in the Mount Cotterell Steeplechase, about two miles, one furlong and six chains, won by Oalliy, in 4.174, which is a. course record. Ruling Eight was third in the first division of the Ailsa Handicap in which Whernside was unplaced. Irish Chieftain was unplaced in the second division. " . _ The New Zealand apprentice, J. McInally, was suspended for a month for interference by his mount, Debater, with Altanna in the second division of the Merri Trial Handicap.

THE HAWKESBURY MEETING.

J. T. JAMIESON INJURED. SYDNEY, September 28. At the Hawkesbury races to-day. Sir Walter was second in the first division of the Maiden Handicap, and Princess Doreen was unplaced in the Flying Handicap. Cherry King was third in the High-weight Handicap. J. T. Jamieson was injured when Sir Walter reared and fell on him after racing in the Maiden Handicap. He sustained injuries to his right arm and right ankle and suffered shock. He received attention on the course.

NEWBURY AUTUMN CUP. LONDON, September 28. At the Newbury meeting the following was the result of the Newbury Autumn Cup, of 2000 sovs; about two miles and on© furlong 'Cecil 1, Woodstock 2, Cornered 3. There were 20 starters. Won by a head; three lengths between second and third.

ADELAIDE HUNT MEETING.

ADELAIDE, September 28

At the Adelaide Hunt Club’s meeting to-day the President’s Handicap was won by Yultewarra 9.0, with The Rift 7.6 second, and Saxon Prince 7.0 third. Won by a length in 2.85.
