FATAL ’PLANE CRASH

NEW ZEALANDER KILLED. DISASTER IN PALESTINE. (United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) JERUSALEM, September 26. Flying-Officer Dennehy, a New Zealander, and a passenger were killed in a ’plane crash.

FORMER WELLINGTON RESIDENT WELLINGTON, This Day. Flying-Officer William Daniel Dennehy, who was 28 years of ago, joined the Royal Air Force in 1930. He was granted a short service commission. At the time of his death he was stationed at Palestine, and was adjutant to No. 2 Armoured Car Company, which carries out communication flying. Flying-Officer Dennehy was a resident of Wellington before he joined the Air Force, and was educated at St. Patrick’s College. He visited Wellington on furlough a few months ago.
