Charles Bickford, the film actor, was severely bitten by a lion at Hollywood, Los Angeles, to-day when a'scene in a. picture entitled “Easter Rava” tvas being photographed. The lion had, been trained to jump over Bickford’s head, hut instead the 4Qolb beast struck the actor squarely and sank his teeth into the back of Bickford’s neck. Bickford was quickly rescued and taken to hospital.
