Hislop, leader of the Democrats, will open his campaign on Tuesday, October 1, in the Auckland Town Hall, when lie will announce full details of the policy of the party and also the full list of selected and endorsed candidates.

MR H. HOLLAND TO STAND. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Mr H. Holland, M.P. for Christchurch North, will contest the seat again in the forthcoming election, as the Government candidate, according to an announcement he made yester<l«l v» Mr Holland said his health had made it doubtful for a time whether lie would be able to stand the strain of a campaign, but it had improved .so much recently that lie was confident be could take part in the election. Mr Holland stated that- lie thought he would be able to resume his seat in the House in about a fortnight.
