FIRES IN CANEFIELDS
SUSPICION OF INCENDIARISM. FEELING HIGH IN QUEENSLAND. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 1.55 p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Several outbreaks of fire in the canefields around Goonds, believed to have been the result of incendiarists, have caused feelings to run high at Innisfail.
The fires were checked before serious damage w r as done, about eight acres in all being burnt.
