ST. JAMES THEATRE. With Charles 'Laughton, eminent English actor, in the title role, “lluggles of lied Gap,” Harry Leon Wilson’s famous story of society in the back-woods of America during the rollicking 1900’s, comes to the St. James Theatre to-night, Monday night and at two sessions on Tuesday. Produced by Paramount, the picture features Laughton with an all-star comedy cast, including Mary Boland, Charlie Buggies, Itoland Young and ZaSu Pitts, in the ludicrous tale of the perfect butler, Avon in a poker game and taken to a small western town to create a furore among the socialities. The picture opens in London tvliere “Haggles” changes masters as the result of an all-night poker session. Then his adventures begin*. There will be a good supporting programme. MAJESTIC THEATRE. With the rumble of Avar drums sounding in [Europe it is highly gratifying that a motion picture like “Forgotten Men” should be placed on public exhibition so that mankind might be reminded once again of the horror and brutality of Avar. For this picture—hitherto suppressed by the Governments of the Avorld—is a Avar spectacle AA’ith official films from the archives of the Avorlcl’s 14 Avarring nations. Though compiled by Elstree by British International Pictures, the film is ,a comprehensive collection of Ava pictures by all the nations which took part in the great struggle, including Germany,, and most of the scenes have never been shown in public before. It will be screened at the Majestic tonight and on Monday night.
