NEW COMPANY TO BE FORMED.

PROTECTING INTERESTS OF GROWERS.

WEL’LINC4TON, September 5

Authority for the Wheat Marketing Agency Company, Ltd., as trustee of £Booo—part of the balance of an equalisation fund held by the company for certain, wheat growers—to apply the £BOOO in payment of 8000 £1 shares in the capital of a proposed company to be formed in the interests of wheat-growers, is contained in the United Wheat Growers Bill, which was read a first time in the House of Representatives to-day on the motion of Mr H. >S. S. Kyle (C., Riccarton). The new company is to he called United Wheat Growers (N.Z.), Ltd. The Bill will also sanction the application and holding of these 8000 shares by nominees of the Wheat Marketing Agency Company, Ltd., in trust for the wheat growers. According to the preamble the new company is to be formed for fostering and strengthening the wheat growing industry of New Zealand in the general interest of the growers along the lines of the 1931 agreement between the Wheat Growers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., the Wheat Marketing Agency Company, Ltd., and the flour millers of New Zealand.
