MOSCOW REBUFFED

LABOUR AND UNITED FRONT.

BRITAIN AGAINST CO-OPERATION

(United Press Association —Copyright)

LONDON, Sept, 5

The Council of the Trades Union Congress overwhelmingly rejected a resolution favouring the united front against war and Fascism, and calling upon the International Federation of Trades Unions to accede to the request of the Third -IntemationaP for a meeting to discuss joint action. - The General Secretary (Sir William Citrine) said that the Red International stood for the violent overthrow of the existing order, and organising the workers for the overthrow of capitalism. The whole purpose of the united front movement, which had never changed its tactics, was to enter the trade union movement and use is as a vehicle for propagating 1 Communist principles and nothing else.
