LAD' SAVED FROM DROWNING. (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. Charles John Cook, aged 14, a> member of Claudelands Boy Scout Troop, has been awarded the silver cross for gallantry by the Dominion Council of the Boy Scout Association. Cook, who also received the Royal Humane (Society’s certificate, swam in all. 600 yards of treacherous sea to rescue a hoy, Bruce Rennie, at Cheltenham Beach, Auckland, on January 31.
