ENTERTAINMENTS.

MAJESTIC THEATRE.

“THE PAINTED VEIL.” If there has been any doubt aboiSt Greta Garbo’s long-standing reputation as the greatest film star, it has been definitely settled by her newest production, “The Painted Veil,” which concludes at the Majestic Theatre tonight. In this dramatic story Gaibo rises to greater heights than in any of her previous pictures—not excluding “Queen Christina.” As Katherine Fane, the bride of a serious-minded British doctor, Garbo appears more glamorous, more beautiful and a finer dramatic actress—if such is possible—than ever before. The picture, too, gives hqr a new leading man, Heibeit Marshall, her 50th in the nine years she has been starring in American films. Marshall’s role of the jealous husband is a difficult one and! he plays it in masterful fashion. Also in the film are George Brent, Warner Hand, and Jean Hersholt.
