Based on the Government statistician’s index number for the export prices of avool in the 12 months ended June 31—750, against 1800 on June 30, 1928—the rates of pay of shearers in 1935-36 will be: *■

Hand shearing—Not less than 19s 6d, with rations. Machine shearing—l9s 6d, Avith rations. Where shearers find themselves an exti’a 5s per 100. Prossers—£2 6s a AA r eek, or Is 4d an hour. Other shed hands—£2 Is a week, or Is 2d an hour. Cooks—£2 16s a week, or 10s iOd a day.
