GAS WARFARE
OPPOSED BY BRITISH DOCTORS. INFLUENCE TOWARDS ABOLITION LONDON, July 24. Measures against chemical warfare were discussed to-day by tlie House of Lords and by the. British Medical Association. The Medical Association, while urging that instruction and protection should he given medical students and the public, passed a resolution that it would itself use its influence towards abolition of such warfare. Dr. A. T. Jones said there could not be adequate protection against deadly poison gas. It Avould be a travesty of human intelligence if they were unable to secure the prohibition of gas warfare. 1 Lord Favor.sham, in the House of Lords, said he had been informed by experts that it was easier to provide protection against gas than against high explosive bombs. The Government was designing a. respirator which would supply! protection in all cases.
