BAIL REFUSED

MAN CHARGED WITH RECEIVING (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, July 23. A charge of receiving jewellery valued at £3OO, arising out of a burglary at the premises of the Anchor Loan and Exchange Company on May 22, was laid in the Magistrate’s Court against Ng Kum Tong, alias Charlie Tong, alias Ngh Tong,- aged 32 years, a fruiterer, of Haining Street. Jewellery valued at £BOO was stolen from the shop. A remand was made until July 31, when Alfred Jeffrey will appear charged with stealing the jewellery. Bail was refused.
