ANOTHER SWEEPING VICTORY.
SOUTH AFRICA v. SCOTLAND. (Received This Day, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 23. South Africa won the return two-day match against Scotland by an innings and 85 runs. Scotland in the first innings scored 80. Vincent took six wickets for 19 runs, and Tomlinson four for 26. Scotland, following on, made only 87. Bell took three wickets fox--17, and Tomlinson three for 36. M.C.C. TEAM FOR NEW ZEALAND. TWO INVITATIONS ACCEPTED. (Received This Day, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 23. W. Barber (Yorkshire) and S'. C. Griffiths (Cambridge) have accepted an invitation to tour New Zealand with the Marylebone Cricket Club’s team.
