IDLE SHIPPING
IMPROVEMENT IN BRITAIN. (United Press Association— Copyright) I LONDON, July 20. The quarterly return of the Chamber of Shipping of tonnage laid up in the ports of Great Britain and Ireland shows a further improvement. On July 1 there were 575,010 tons of shipping laid up,' which was 117,709 tons, or 16.7 per cent., less than on April 1, and 454,288 tons, or 43.6 per cent., less than a year ago.—British Official!
