Tsaldaris reconstructed his Cabinet, dropping all Ministers who had pronounced themselves publicly in favour of either the monarchy or the republic, except General Condydis, whose retention is regarded as a victory for the monarchists, although M. Tsaldaris declares that the new Ministry w r ill remain neutral during the plebiscite. Meanwhile the city is ouzzing with rumours of an impending monarchist coup d’etat.
