SEAMEN’S STRIKE
THE TROUBLE AT VANCOUVER. QUESTION OF SYMPATHY MOVE. DECISION IN SYDNEY PENDING. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received! This,Day, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Whether the crew of the Aorangi, who are members of the Australian (Seamen’s Union, will be withdrawn from the vessel in sympathy with strikers at Vancouver will be decided ■at a special meeting of the union on Tuesday.
„ The seamen said that militant members of the crew had made arrangements with the unemployed members of the Union to endeavour to compel the Aorangi’s crew to tie up the vessel and would submit a motion along these lines at the meeting on Tuesday. It is believed, however, that such a move will he vigorously opposed by the moderate section; who are expected to be in the majority. The wharf labourers continue to unload the Aorangi. This is regarded as another rebuff to the Communists, who had! placarded the waterfront with stickers declaring the Aorangi “black.”
