THE WEATHER
BRIGHT AFTER WHTiTE FROST. Although only 11 degrees of frost were recorded at the Domain weather station' this morning, -the frost was one of the whitest experienced for some time. The sun shone brightly to-day, and there was only a light north-easterly breeze. The barometric pressure this morning was 29.63 inches, and maximum and minimum in the last 24 hours were 45.3 degrees and 27.4 degrees respectively.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General inference: An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers the North Island, while a depression extends from the Tasman Sea on to the South Island. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows:
Moderate but freshening northerly winds. Weather fair, mild and hazy, but later cloud-increasing. Seas moderate.
