WAR NOT PROBABLE
THE INFLUENCE OF WOMEN. THE' WISDOM OF MEN ALSO. GENERAL BOOTH’S VIEWPOINT. (United 1 Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, June 18. General Evangeline Booth (head of the Salvation Army), interviewed, said she was convinced that women’s influence would play an increasing part in the progress of the world, which, she contended, was only now discovering woman’s capacity. “It is not alone on women’s influence that I base my opinion that there will not be another war,” said Miss Booth. “I have too much faith in the wisdom of men, and too strong a belief in the universal display of the anti-war feeling, firmly founded, to accept the theory that war is probable.”
