TWO MEN DROWNED.
LAUNCHES SINK NEAR SYDNEY. LIGHTHOUSE-KEEPERS SEE THE TRAGEDY. (United Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, June 18. A large launch sank to-day in a rough sea near North Head, and two men—Frank Wilson, aged 40, and Norman Cross, aged 45—were drowned. A second launch, which was being; towed by the other, sank a few minutes earlier, but there appeared to be nobody aboard it Lighthouse-keepers at North Head and watchers ashore saw the large launch towing the smaller and unoccupied one through mountainous seas and the assistance of a tug from Newcastle was requisitioned, but before it could reach the spot both launches has disappeared. Searchers for the launch which lias been pnissjing (from Cronulla isjince noon on Sunday found wreckage washed up three miles from the spot where the men went fishing. Air Force, aeroplanes and the destroyer Voyager searched for this launch all day yesterday and to-day. The men on it were Edward Parker, aged 21, John Lynch, aged 40, and John Sanders, aged 27.
