ETHIOPIAN CRISIS.

ALARM AMONG NEUTRALS. AMERICAN LEGATION MAY LEAVE (United Tress Association—copyright). LONDON, June 17. The diplomatic correspondent of the "Daily'Telegraph" says that preparatory steps are being taken to safeguard neutral non-combatants in Ethiopia, and that the American Legation at Addis Ababa is likely to be withdrawn, as well as missionaries and their families. The problem is the more difficult because Ethiopia is served by a single railway, and it is almost, impossible to evacuate foreigners hurriedly by aeroplanes because of the high altitudes to be traversed and the poor landing grounds.
