DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE. ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED. CSpecial to the "Guardian.'') TIMARU, June 17. Irrespective of the number of candidates standing, it has definitely been decided that a Democratic candidate will contest the Timaru seat at the coming General Election, according to advice from Wellington. It is understood that at least two Timaru men have been approached to stand in the party's interests. So far no name has been divulged, but the party's organiser will visit Timaru shortly, when it is expected that an announcement will be made.
