FRAUDULENT REPRESENTATIONS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 15. Twelve months' hard labour was the sentence imposed by Mr Luxford, S.M., on Thomas Alfred Botterill, who pleaded guilty yesterday to obtaining £45 14s by fraudulently representing that orders obtained for advertisements in the "Auckland Motorists' Handy Guide" were genuine ones. GUILTY OF THEFT OF A BICYCLE. HAMILTON, June 15. In the Magistrate's Court, Henry Holt Paton, 41 years of age, was sentenced to six months' hard labour for the theft of a bicycle. The accused had a list of previous convictions, principally for theft, and mostly in Christchurch.
