.MAJORITY REDUCED. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. In the official count of the votes cast in the Christchurch mayoral election the majority secured by Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.. has dropped from 573 to 336. While this is not the final decision—declaration votes had . still to be taken into account when the announcement of this result of the count was made yesterday—there is said to be no likelihood whatever that Mr Sullivan can be displaced by Sir Hugh Acland.
