BAG-SNATCHING.

AUCKLAND WOMAN’S LOSS. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, April 30. A young man on a bicycle snatched a woman’s handbag in Epsom Avenue about 10.30 last night. He rode oft and has not been traced. Miss Helen Fraser, of Mount Eden, when on her way home was opposite the Mount Eden bowling green When her handbag was snatched from hei hand. She made an exclamation, thinking for a moment that it was some young man playing a joke on her, but when she saw a cyclist pedalling fast down street her surprise turned to dismay and she called for help, but it was all in vain.

The handbag did not contain money but in it were the keys of the house. She believes the cyclist was. masked.
