GREEK REVOLUTION.
BRITAIN URGES CLEMENCY. (United Press Association— Copyright). LONDON, April 30. In the House of Commons, informing Mr George Lansbury (leader of the Opposition) that the Government, through his Majesty’s Minister in Athens, has expressed satisfaction that order has been restored, and the hope that domestic peace will prevail, Sir John Simon (Foreign Secretary) added: “It is not for his Majesty’s Government to judge the merits of individual cases, hut traditional friendship entitled it to express the hope that the Greek Government would see its way to exercise clemency and! limit capital punishment as far as possible.” (Cheers.)
