OFFICIAL RANKINC. COVERS MANY COUNTRIES. Unknown to the swimming world two years ago, and now world’s record holder for tbe 100 metres breaststroke, is the achievement of the Dutch girl swimmer, Mej Mastenbroek, who was recently granted a record for her time of 1.16 8-10. She is a countrywoman of the amazing Dutch youngster, Willie den Ouden, who is credited with the world figures for 100 and 400 metres freestyle in the latest list prepared by the French Aquatic Federation. Mej Mastenbroek is ranked second to her. Women’s ranking, in the minor places, is well distributed among the swimming nations of the world.
