IN POSSESSION OF OPIUM. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, April 30. Donald John Macdonald, 53 years of age, a mechanic, who was arrested oil Saturday when the Wanganella arrived from Sydney, was to-day sentenced .six months’ imprisonment tor illegally importing six tins of prcpaied opium. The Collector of Customs described him as a dangerous criminal. The Magistrate said that arrangements might be made to deport ihm.
