COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTION.
Sir,—As we are to have an election in Mount Hutt District for candidates to represent us on the County Council I think we should have meetings and hear the views of the candidates. There are several important questions to be settled: in the near future, and we want the best men we can get to represent us. For some time our present members have been battling for more water for our district—a great necessity, as some parts have a very poor supply. The Council has engineer's reports which if carried out would give the extra supply and with more subdivision of water races, the County Council would get more rates, which would b© a benefit for the whole County. It behoves every ratepayer not only to vote, but to vote for the candidates who look after our interests and push things along for us. RATEPAYER.
