SLIGHT DECREASE

TOTALISATOR INVESTMENTS. EASTER RACE RECEIPTS. (Special to the "Guardian.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Showing a decrease of £429 10s on last year's receipts, totalisator investments for the three days of Easter racing in New Zealand totalled £295,463 10s. There were only two meetings yesterday—the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club's carnival at Riccarton and the third day of the Riverton Jockey Club's meeting. At Riccarton, cold and unpleasant conditions, with heavy rain at times, -affected the receipts, which were £21,088 for the day, compared with £21,610 last year. The first day of the meeting, Monday, saw an increase of £241 on last year, and" the decrease for the meeting was £2Bl. At Riverton yesterday, £12,070 was invested, compared with £11,155 last year. The total for the three-day meeting was £45,9*4"8 10s, compared with £39,500 10s last year. The following tables show the receipts at the various clubs holding Easter meetings this year, compared with last year's figures:—
